The CoC Housing Program is a 34-unit permanent supportive housing program for homeless families and singles with mental illness and/or disabilities. Operating under contract with the BHA through the Prince George’s County Health Department, Behavioral Health Division, this project-based rental assistance program is HUD funded. Applicants are referred or self-referred and are processed through the CoC coordinated assessment and entry system. Comprehensive supportive services are provided by the VOAC Community Psychiatric Rehabilitation Program (PRP). VOAC began operating this program in July 2000.
Services offered include, but are not limited to:
- Permanent supportive housing with rent subsidies
- Comprehensive supportive services
- Housing counseling
- Landlord mediation
- Eviction prevention
- Substance abuse services
