VOACC Welcomes New Members To Our ELT

VOACC is so excited to welcome two new members to our Executive Leadership Team.

Brandi Goss-Burchett, MBA, LPC, LCMHC is a longtime resident of North Carolina, who graduated from East Carolina University in Greenville NC, with her Bachelor of Science in Communications. She later earned her Master of Art Degree in Counseling from Webster University and is currently a licensed counselor in the states of North Carolina and Alaska. Brandi also holds a Master of Business Administration from the University of Mount Olive in Mount Olive, NC with a concentration in Healthcare Administration.

Brandi holds additional credentials of Licensed Professional Counselor Supervisor, National Certified Counselor, Licensed Clinical Addictions Specialist, Certified Clinical Supervisor, Approved Counseling Supervisor, Certified Clinical Trauma Professional and Master Addiction Counselor. Brandi’s direct clinical and supervisory experiences span individual, group, couples, and family counseling, in areas pertaining to mental health, addictions, integration of care, and social determinants of health.

Prior to joining Volunteers of America Chesapeake and the Carolinas, Brandi served in a Chief Executive Officer role for Mat-Su Senior Services in Alaska. Her prior experience also includes working for a North Carolina Federally Qualified Health Center accredited by The Joint Commission. She served as a Senior Clinical Director and then the Vice President of Behavioral Health and Chief Behavioral Health Officer.

Taking pleasure in considering herself a lifelong learner, Brandi also enjoys singing, acting, teaching, and continuous development in providing servant leadership. Brandi is married to her husband, Aaron who is retired from the United States Air Force and recent Licensed Master Social Worker. They have three children with the youngest in college. Brandi is a first-generation college graduate who is deeply passionate about decreasing stigma and contributing to the legacy of empowered and changed lives.

Joseph “Joe” Martinez-Williams, LPC is a graduate of the Chicago School of Professional Psychology holding a Master of Arts in Forensic Psychology. He is a Licensed Professional Counselor in the District of Columbia and has worked in the behavioral health arena for nearly 10 years.

Joe was first introduced into the behavioral health field as a Community Support Worker in DC at Community Connections, providing direct services to clients living with trauma, substance abuse, behavioral health challenges, and homelessness. There, he quickly transitioned into the role of a Team Manager/Clinical Supervisor on one of the Assertive Community Treatment teams. Joe then served at Pathways to Housing for the past eight years with several promotions and most recently as the Director of Quality Improvement and Entitlement Program Operations for the organization.

Throughout his professional career, Joe has prioritized staff growth and development and looks forward to working with the VOACC team.

Joe is a husband of 11-years to Christina and a father of two little girls, 8 & 7. When he’s not working or spending time with his family and traveling, he enjoys riding/working on one of his three motorcycles, reading, and writing Fiction books. His favorite genres of movies are sci-fi, horror, and psychological thrillers.
